I was on CNN.com this morning, scaling the articles, avoiding the ones with death or killed in the title- looking for something with a little more hope and inspiration. I stumbled upon this article about 5 people who we probably aren’t familiar with but we should be- because they’re obviously doing something interesting with over a million followers each. With the phenomenal globalization of twitter- people everywhere and of all ages, races and beliefs are using their 140 characters to get their messages, thoughts, movement out to the masses. I love it. It’s so cool to be able to talk to people and make friends just off of short conversations online.

Check out these regular people doing extraordinary things that deserve attention and a following:
(CNN) — Sure, everyone knows that Oprah, Shaq and Ashton Kutcher are huge on Twitter. They’re famous — they should be huge on Twitter.
But Heather Armstrong? John Dickerson? Adventure Girl? These people can stroll unmolested through a paparazzi convention, and yet each has more than 1.2 million Twitter followers — enough to rank them in the top 200 overall and more than Stephen Colbert, Snoop Dogg or Paris Hilton.
To thrive on the popular micro-blogging site, celebrity isn’t always enough. You also must have something to say.
“You can’t be Moses shouting down the mountain on Twitter,” says Brandon Mendelson, a blogger who has amassed almost a million Twitter followers. “You need to be that friend everyone wants to hang out with.”
Here’s a look at five Twitterers you may not have heard of. They don’t show up in the tabloids or on Leno. But they have the power, through the viral effect of their retweets, to make things happen, and maybe even nudge the national conversation a little.
Heather Armstrong: @dooce
If her real name doesn’t ring a bell, the name of her blog might. Armstrong launched Dooce.com in 2001 and soon built an audience for her deeply personal, brutally honest posts about married life, kids and a postpartum depression that landed her in a mental hospital. READ THE REST

I grew up with Jodeci and H-Town. I had Jodeci videos kid. LOL. I was a huge fan. I think I was in 5th grade when Forever My Lady came out. Same time I started to recognize what love could be with a boy. You know how most kids are anti-the opposite sex until their tweens so R&B in the 90s did a good job in helping us make that transition.

Love H-Town- love Devante’s production. I think people in the 25-40 age group have little to choose from when it comes to new music. My iPod is filled with more classic joints than current stuff. Not taking anything away from the new artists but the competition was just stronger 10+ years ago. Back then the goal was to be different while sending your message. Now the goal is to be the richest and most successful- and the message seems lost in translation.

I just ranted again. You know you love it. Haha check out the video- just listen to it if you’re nervous to have the memory of these two groups tainted by an LSG/Old man looking group. It’s not that bad tho lol

YAY!

The comments on WSHH are SO funny. Some dude said something like “i know them boys been sniffing those white castles” LMAO

Lenny S, Big Lite and I were on the set of XXL’s tribute to Def Jam cover shoot and we caught up with Juelz Santana. I didn’t like his vibe. LOL. It was weird. He didn’t really give you a lot to work with. Not saying that cuz I wanted to get all the latest Dipset gossip- (would’ve taken it though) but because I don’t feel like I know Juelz. I don’t have an idea of what kind of person he is. Actually, I do. LOL. Cocky. I guess he is just that hot. You decide. Check out the clip

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Jonathan Mannion- google him! LOL. He’s one of Hip Hop’s most influencial photographers and worked with almost everyone in the industry. He was behind Jay-Z’s infamous Reasonable Doubt album cover. Check out who he got to shoot naked!!!
