Man, it’s a sad day. Not only did actress Farrah Fawcett pass away from her long battle with cancer- but one of my favorite and most precious singers- Michael Jackson died from what sources are saying was a heart attack.
It was really annoying because the news was unclear at first with discrepancies in news reports- some saying he was alive in a coma- while the majority said he had died.
I grew up with MJ. Not that we grew up together but that was the only music that my dad encouraged that was “pop” and was safe for a little kid to be exposed to. At the age of 6, he had me hooked. I guess there was always a unique innocence that MJ possessed which allowed us to trust him. I mean look at the whole child molestation case and how people still stood by him- even through those controversial times.
MJ is a legend and will be remembered for it. We should all strive to leave our mark on this world when we’re not here anymore.
Miss you & Love You forever, MJ!
I watched Moonwalker about 1000 times with my little sister.
Check out this new joint from Bay area rapper, Balance. There’s a lane for this dude- so I’m excited to hear more! More importantly what do yall think?
Always loved this beat. Nottz went in. And be on the lookout for Nottz folks- he’s the next producer attempting to get into the rapper lane so you already know that’s going to be buzzworthy!
This was definitely one of the Round Table show’s best interviews yet. Raekwon talks about a lot of interesting topics like his current relationship with the Wu’s capo- the RZA and how they mended their past differences. Rae also discusses the making of 8 Diagrams and says that it was more of a RZA album than a WU project. He goes into describing the vibe at the studio during the creation process and how most of the members weren’t happy with beats. This joint is super long so get comfortable. Raekwon is known as one as one of the greatest Rap storytellers of all time- so you can imagine he has a lot of dope things to say!
In the last segment- Rae gives his opinion on Joe Budden’s recent statements about Method Man.

Part 5:
This morning- I got some alarming news that LA the Darkman, president of the Aphilliates, was involved in yet, another brawl with Young Jeezy’s CTE camp. In fact, 3 people supposedly got stabbed in the fight and some were speculating that Jeezy might have been one of them. This all was rumored to go down in Atlanta’s Luckie Lounge. I hit up LA immediately- hoping that this wasn’t true and he was stunned to hear the story since he’s been on the road the last few months promoting his self-titled, debut album. Also since he was in Michigan performing with Gucci Mane and Souljah Boy the night the fight transpired. He told me there’s footage of the show and afterparty too- that they’ll be releasing shortly. I wonder if that will add fuel to the already burning fire between the Aphilliates and CTE? LA & Gucci- doing shows and parties together? As it stands, Jeezy and Gucci have revved back up their longtime beef and I heard there’s more drama (no pun intended) lurking in Atlanata for Jeezy. Some people are saying that Jeezy has become a tyrant- muscling his music on air. According to Illseed, DJ Camilo was approached by Jeezy’s people who leaned on him about not playing any Gucci records at Hot 97’s Summer Jam- which Camilo refused to do. Come to NYC and put pressure on our DJ’s?! LOL. We might not be as dominant on the airwaves but we still hold it down for our city! It’s just not cool to put that type of pressure on someone who the public looks to for new music and approval. Let us decide what we want to hear! That’s what it’s about right?
Anyway, I guess it’s natural that people assume that it was the Aphilliates that clashed with Jeezy again- but LA says that he “wasn’t even there.” Hopefully, Jeezy did not get hurt, despite reports. I’m trying to get you guys some audio with LA in the next few days, too- just to see where everything is at and what his reactions are to the situation.
This is a SmackTube exclusive folks via Fox News. Looks like Hip Hop’s most popular site is being blasted for its content. As we all know (and love) the internet is the place for the most raw and uncensored shit. WSHH has some of the most exclusive clips that sometimes expose “illegal” things. I said it before- indictment! It’s way too often that we see shit like dudes with automatic weapons or freezer bags full of drugs- it was only a matter of time until police began to prey on these moments of stupidity often confused with “stuntin’” that dudes wanna capture on video and get up on worldstar. Now the question is- will this make any difference in wshh’s traffic? I think not. Will it make people not want to fuck with Q? Nope. If anything- it’s just a little talk and maybe a lawsuit. Story developing…
“Max B would like to first thank all his family, friends and fans that
have supported him throughout this trial. Please don’t give up on him
at this point. Although the jury has spoken and Max has been convicted
of felony murder, kidnapping, robbery and conspiracy a swift and
successful appeal shall follow. It is inconceivable that a jury would
convict Max under the facts presented by the State. Even Gina Conway
the State’s own witness testified that Max knew nothing of a robbery.
Ms. Conway, a jilted lover and proven liar, said so at the trial
itself. Max said after the verdict was read that he is confident that
justice will eventually be served and he will be free. Max intends to
continue putting out music for his fans while the appeal process grinds
along. Although shocked by the verdict, Max remained grateful.”

Sometimes, a stand out guest appearance can thrust an artists’ career into the forefront. Take, Freeway’s verse on Jay-Z’s “1-900-Hustler.” Over Bink’s chopped sample, Free’s banshee vocals and brash wordplay anchored the track with lines like “Jon Benet, your daughter missing tonight!”To usher in our new series, Free talks to Rap Radar on why his verse was off the hook.
“I was just getting off house arrest, i just started going to NY with Beans while they was recording The Dynasty and all that. We was in the stu and Jay and Beans was like, ” I got this joint” Jay and Beans was originally gonna be on it. But Beans was like “I think you should kill this joint, Ithink it would be good for you” and Jay was like “Yeah, yeah! That shit’ll be crazy!”. Jay and them had the concept for the record already and the whole “1-900-Hustler thing.” I was just getting off house arrest for—actually being a hustler, so it just fit perfectly. They setup the part where I was gonna come in at and they put the lil’ violin music before it. I wrote the verse and I came back, laid it, and it was a wrap! I remember the first time I was in a club and uh, Bleek and Beans was in there. We was in Philly performing. And they was like “Yo, just do the verse acapella.” I did that shit and the crowd went wild and its been a wrap since then. I wasn’t really nervous, I was excited about like being on the album and making it happen. I just felt like I was just doing me, like my style is a lot different than a lot of people. People at the time was like this verse is nice, but i don’t know if people gone want a whole album of his voice. I was still getting mixed feeling about it but it turned out to be the shit!”— As Told To Brian B.Dot” Miller
