Check out Diddy saying that Kim has a right to feel the way she’s feeling. I’m happy someone has stepped outside the shook box and said some real shit.

I’m on Team Lil Kim, damn it. I feel like she’s being ganged up on because her character and past have been deemed “undesirable” and “raunchy.” Why should she get shitted on because she’s the Queen B, bottom bitch, hood rat or whatever you want to call her? Bottom line, Kim has proven herself as an artist and as a stand up woman. She’s arguably the biggest female rapper in Hip Hop. She’s crossed so many boundaries and broke through many obstacles that women face in any business. I think she should be commended for that if anything. Instead, people are taking her unhappiness as ungratefulness and arrogance- making her look like the bad guy. I really feel like the shark ( you know who I’m talking about) knows exactly what she’s doing and is getting pleasure out of Kim’s displeasure with the depiction of herself. I mean it was a lose/lose situation for Kim out the gate. She really had no choices. She denies her likeness being used- she misses out on being part of the history of a man she was heavily influenced by- she looks like an asshole to the world and finally- Ms. Wallace would have a field day creating a substitute “Lil Kim” which would be an even greater risk than signing off on her own likeness. Now that she’s in on the project- she has no input. She’s not welcomed. Her ex-lover’s mother and ex-wife/child’s mother are spearheading the project. Do you think she’s going to be shown in a glorious light? Hell no. She’s going to be made to appear the way they see her. Is that not biased to any one? Not that I’m arguing the fact that there are winners and losers in every situation- but just at the idea of people not understanding where Kim is coming from.

I’m a product of divorced parents. I know what it’s like to see one person destroy another person’s character out of spite, vengeance and jealousy. I vote for the underdog who has to dig themselves out of the shit that they’ve been buried in and rise to the top, yet again.

Kim- you’re a warrior- it’s not fair to play war when it comes to affairs of the heart but you gotta get your mind right and come back stronger like you always have!

Check out the Round Table show as we interview Lil Cease and fellow, JR Mafia member Nino Brown. This is one heated discussion, folks!

Part 1: Cease and Nino Brown talk about how their friendship with Biggie Smalls began and how Big hand picked the team. “We didn’t know we were junior mafia until we heard a record one day.” Cease also talks about how Junior Mafia lost direction when Biggie Passed.

Part 2: Cease and Nino continues discussing the game now and in the 90s. Convo gets heated when we get into the Notorious film and the whole Lil Kim controversy. When asked about Kim & Big’s relationship- Cease denied it, “I don’t know what happened with Big behind closed doors.”

Part 3: More Notorious talk- Cease says he wanted Charlie Baltimore to have a part in the movie over Lil Kim because she was really his “girl.” He said, “I had a problem with that, I ain’t gon lie.”
What was Biggie to Kim- Cease simply responds “She was cool.” Then Cease gets into his current situation with Lil Kim. He rewinds and trackbacks to when the problems between him and Kim began and denies that it had anything to do with the trial. Did Biggie literally kick Kim off his tour bus for “rummaging” through Charlie Baltimore’s clothes? Nino says “Kim wasn’t his girl.” Watch!!!

Part 4: Big Lite: “Faith was known to kick some ass, though.” LMAO. True, True. Cease talks about how Biggie got girls and what the swag meter was at to pull some of the baddest chicks in the industry. “Big had that charm.”

Yeah, that sounds crazy right? Even more crazier than that guy in CT who wanted his Kidney back from his wife in their divorce settlement. (WTF?) Well, this man actually got a knife and proceeded to extract these implants by his own methods of madness. All this because she dumped you? That’s very disturbing.

The woman got away but not without 6 stab wounds and a punctured implant. He almost got his wish.  Plus an attempted homicide charge.

Early reports stated that the infant that was found shot to death along with Knick’s center, Eddy Curry’s baby’s mother was not the NBA player’s child but that his son with the deceased witnessed the slayings. Now, DNA tests prove that Ava Goings, was his daughter- despite the many attempts made by Eddy and his camp denying the blood relation.

Ava bears the last named “Goings” which was the last name of her mother’s boyfriend, Frederick Goings- a 36 year old lawyer. Fred is the suspected murderer. I wonder why? It can’t be due to the results of the paternity test because according to Chicago news sources- she had a legal suit filed to determine the father by DNA which concluded that Curry was Ava’s dad- that Frederick Goings helped her execute.

The mother was only 24- with two young children by a questionable NBA player. This man probably got in her head- by implanting false hopes of “securing her future” if she follows through with a suit which he will be caking the most off since he gets his cut and half of hers!!!

Anyway, it’s just a terrible situation for the kids. One will never get to see one year of life on earth and the other will live the rest of his days with the memory of that tragic day when his mother and sister were taken.

The question remains- why was the son so lucky? How did he escape death? Developing…

I really like Ryan. I love the tone of his voice and his lyrics are so thoughtfully chosen. “How it was supposed to be” is my shit!!! This is another joint off his new album, called “Just Right.” It seems like a lot of them are secret messages to Cassie. Yeah, I said it. I heard that she really was his muse in all senses of the word. But, she chose the big, industry veteran who is experienced in getting whatever he wants.

I only wish Ryan would stop doing the epeleptic seizure dance. I didn’t think it was possible to do it, twice. “Diamond Girl” was a bit snap-a-neckish. Anyhoo- shouts to Next Selection. Love Ryan.

Watch out for Krys Ivory…new Freeway collabo coming soon…

50 really is the bad guy of rap. He has Rick Ross’ diss record towards him posted up on the front page of his infamous thisis50.com. You know what that’s called right? Confidence. Haha. And, I’m sure 50 isn’t too worried about losing fans to Officer Ross. Even deeper than that- 50 is getting ready to play with his food. Again. Filet de ross anyone?

That’s who I thought of right away, but I don’t think the women’s block has to worry about this. This story is crazy. From what I understand, there’s 3 correctional officers at Riker’s Island that have been charged with conspiracy in the murder of an 18 year old immate who was killed in a brutal beatings by other inmates. The CO’s are suspected of running a fight club- named “the Program,” where they would recruit inmates for “teams” and set up fights in the “teen lock-up” section. They would take commissary money, phone previlages and sick other immates on those who did not wish to cooperate.

You go in bad, you come out even worse. Great rehabilitation system, gov.

Here’s one of the accused- who claims she had nothing to do with it but caught up for being a veteran officer. In the NY Daily News article they said she was being held on $50,000 bail for “her own protection.” What’s that mean? You gotta pay to take yourself off suicide watch? Anyway- she doesn’t like it behind bars as much as she did when she was in front of them- looking in.

And, think about it- if this is happening in the teeny bopper sections- imagine what’s happening on Death Row!!! Yikes. Remind me not to kill anyone…

Man, this is so crazy. Where’s the gun control? Chicago again too. This story is just heartbreaking.  Eddy Curry, center on the New York Knicks gets terrible news after a loss to Philly- that his baby’s mother and her 9- month old daughter had been shot to death in her Chicago apartment and that their 3 year old son fwitnessed the murders.

If you remember in 07- Curry and his wife were held up in their Chi-town home by men with guns in a robbery. Is this coincidence or a pattern? Curry was also sued, just two weeks ago, by his former driver who claims that Curry made sexual advances towards him, made him perform “demeaning tasks” and pointed a gun at him, twice.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Eddy Curry and the families of the victims and the little baby boy who has to live with those tragic memories. I hope that he will have the strength to put those moments behind him and allow love and happiness into his heart again. Time heals.

You may remember this rapper as Roc- coincidently has a striking resemblance on the mic to Mr. Roc-a-fella himself, Jay-Z. Rahman definitely has a story to tell. Interviews are always more interesting when the subject has something to get off their chest and Rahman exposes a lot of things that the average person may not know. For one, he claims to have written “anything hot” that Bow Wow has ever spit. He also talks about the current game now and has some harsh things to say about the new rappers out!

About JD “When are we going to do my shit? He gets up and leaves!”

Part 1: the JD/SoSo Def Recap

Part 2: Blast off! Says none of the young dudes can get on stage and bust your ass like he can. Says these internet rappers do it in a “room” and basically can’t do what he can do. Talks about writing for Bow Wow and “inadvertently” for da Brat. Says he used to be very jealous of the joints she had up in the studio!

Part 3: Rahman spits

Can you tell it was freezing in the building? Lite is fully clothed with gloves and all that. A little extra but it was definitely chilly. Anyway, some red wine and good company kept me warm. Lenny pulled a last minute stunt move and got us a very interesting guest. Elliott Wilson, former editor of the Source and veteran Hip Hop journalist stopped through for a conversation to update us on his current projects. Of course, we had to run down his long list of credentials- from the Source to running XXL- Elliott Wilson is one of the most respected and accredited writers in the game. Most publicly known for his feud with former Source owner’s Benzino and Dave Mays- sparking the controversial “battle of the covers,” Elliott says he feels like he came out on top.

Elliott talks about his relationship with 50 and Eminem and speaks on the reasons behind the beef- one of thing in particular was the Benzino diss record which set things off. “Interscope stopped doing business with them [the Source].” He also claims that he never accepted any type of monetary bribes for covers and says he “was covering the bigger artists.”

Check out this interview. Elliott reveals a popular rapper that missed out on a feature because he demanded to be the main event and Elliott shut that down and replaced him with Plies!
Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3: Elliott gets a little more technical about the actual operation of running a successful magazine like XXL. Find out who he regrets not covering while he was the editor.
