LAST NIGHT’S TRT RECAP: DJ ENVY, KOOL G RAP, DONNY GOINES, IRON SOLOMON, FRED THE GODSON
Last night, was a good night for the Round Table. We had several dope ass emcees in the building. We started the night off with the iconic Kool G Rap. We talked about the Juice Crew, DJ Polo, Superhead, the Bridge Battles and what the battle game is like today. It was a long interview but time well spent. Rap dropped a lot of jewels. He even mentioned that Superhead won’t let him see his son and it’s been years since he last saw him. That just breaks my heart because I’m a product of divorce parents. I know there’s 2 sides to every story- 3 in this matter so who knows what the details are of the underlying issues but there’s an innocent child involved which always makes things more complicated. We talked about her book and if he thought there was any truths to it. He discussed the Juice Crew days and what it was like to be down with the likes of Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie. We talked about the lack of individuality in present day Hip Hop and how the Golden era different from today’s culture. Very informative discussion with Rap. The interview will be up shortly! Will keep you totally posted dude

DJ Envy came through as well. He’s got that unmistakable face- immediately recognizable wherever he goes. It was cool to speak with him since he single-handedly took down on of the most popular shows on radio- Star and Buckwild. He explains why the whole back and forth beef between the two morning shows went down and how it concluded. Envy also brought his new artist through- a singer- his name escapes me but I had to take an L for the team and get serenaded by him. Not because he wasn’t a lovely singer- which he was- but it was super embarrassing. LOL. I definitely turned red. Ha. It’s not hard to make me blush.

Iron Solomon and Donny Goines came through. Both dope ass rhymers. Imagine the freestyle sesh with them- Fred the Godson and Kool G Rap! Bonkers!!!
Rap also brought his new artist, 40 Cal Hammerz- not be considered 40 Cal of Dipset. (Too many 40’s if you ask me)
