Back from Miami

Yes, I am back from the Yayo. No Rick Ross sightings I’m sorry to say. I really kept it low key this weekend. Did a lil shopping at Neiman’s- spent a few hundred on two gorgeous bras! You know I need good ones with the set I have! Ha! Anyway- the Queen Pen clip on worldstarhiphop blew all the other clips that were posted from our show out of the water! It confirms completely that the WSHH audience would rather see hate and drama than quality Hip Hop moments. For example- the Cory Gunz and Nefu da Don freestyle got over 30k hits while a classic clip with not just one legendary rapper, but two- Dres of Black Sheep and Erick Sermon of EPMD scores lower than 4k in spins. So strange. But it’s very cool to see that the blogs went nuts over the classic clip and didn’t give much burn to the more mainstream stuff. It’s sort of like Hip Hop- the bloggers are the backpackers and sites like mediatakeout and worldstar are the commericial and conventinal rappers. Anyway- I have a really great editorial which will be ready for posting soon.

I’m also getting ready to take the GRE’s. Have to get my master’s degree before I hit the big 30! SO watch out world- Maya’s brain is about to get bigger!!! You know I’m already cocky so watch out for the wrath thats coming! HA!
